The firm has represented many oil and gas companies and oil and gas service companies engaged in exploration, production and transportation of hydrocarbons produced from operations with the Gulf of Mexico. We have successfully defended against claims brought pursuant to the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, the Jones Act, Section 905(b) of the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, general Maritime Laws of the United States, including unseaworthiness and maintenance and cure.  We also handle LHWCA compensation claims, routinely filing 8(i) settlement request from the U.S. Department of Labor.
